Jackery and Bluetti are two of the biggest names in portable power. Both offer a wide range of power stations from compact camping units to whole-home backup systems. But which brand is actually better?

We’ve tested products from both brands extensively. Here’s our honest breakdown.

Brand Overview

Jackery is arguably the most recognizable name in portable power. Their orange-and-black Explorer series has been a bestseller on Amazon for years. They’re known for reliability, user-friendly design, and a strong solar panel ecosystem.

Bluetti is the value-focused challenger. They tend to offer more capacity and features for less money, and they were one of the first brands to widely adopt LiFePO4 battery chemistry in their newer models.

Mid-Range: Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 vs Bluetti AC70

For weekend camping and general portable use, these two are the most popular picks in their respective lineups.

The Jackery 1000 v2 offers more capacity (1,070Wh vs 768Wh) and higher output (1,500W vs 1,000W), making it more versatile. However, the Bluetti AC70 charges significantly faster — 45 minutes to 80% — and uses LiFePO4 battery chemistry for longer lifespan.

The AC70 is also $300 cheaper. If capacity is your priority, go Jackery. If you want the best value and fastest charging, go Bluetti.

High-Capacity: Jackery 2000 Plus vs Bluetti AC200P

For home backup and serious power needs, the comparison gets interesting.

The Jackery 2000 Plus is the premium option — expandable up to 24kWh, LiFePO4 battery, 3,000W output, and smart app control. It’s a legitimate home power system. But at $1,999, it’s a significant investment.

The Bluetti AC200P offers similar base capacity (2,000Wh) at $1,299 — a $700 savings. It has more ports (17 vs 10) and built-in wireless charging. The trade-off is older Li-NMC chemistry and no expandability.

If you need expandability and have the budget, the Jackery 2000 Plus is the better long-term investment. If you want the most capacity per dollar right now, the AC200P is unbeatable.

Battery Technology

This is where the brands diverge most. Bluetti has aggressively moved to LiFePO4 across their lineup, even in budget models like the AC70. LiFePO4 batteries last 3,000+ cycles versus roughly 2,500 for Li-NMC.

Jackery has adopted LiFePO4 in their newer models (2000 Plus, 1000 Plus) but the popular Explorer 1000 v2 still uses Li-NMC. For most users the practical difference is minimal, but if longevity is a priority, Bluetti has the edge.

Our Verdict

There’s no clear “winner” — it depends on what you value most:

  • Choose Jackery if you want the most polished user experience, best portability, and premium expandable systems
  • Choose Bluetti if you want the best value, fastest charging in compact units, and LiFePO4 across the board

Both brands make excellent products. You won’t go wrong with either.
